Our wallets are handcrafted in the USA from full-grain American bison leather, chosen for its strength, natural grain, and rugged character. Unlike mass-produced wallets made from bonded or corrected leather, our full-grain bison leather develops a rich patina and becomes more personal with use.

Yes. Bison leather is an excellent wallet leather because it is strong, naturally textured, and durable enough for daily carry. Its grain pattern is more rugged and pronounced than many cowhide leathers, which gives each wallet a distinctive look.

Full grain leather retains the top, most dense, fibers in the leather. This is the strongest portion of the leather. That means you'll see natural grain and it will wear like iron, developing a patina over time instead of peeling off like bonded leather. This is why we make our wallets exclusively with full grain leather.

Our wallets don't need conditioning because we use full grain leather. Most of the oils in your hands will keep it conditioned. If you want to condition it, a very small amount of mink oil will do the trick. Test it in a spot on the wallet that isn't as visible, just in case. Keep the wallet dry, and avoid soaking it. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally.

In the United States, people commonly use "buffalo leather," but our wallets are made from American Bison leather and never water buffalo which is inferior and weaker.

Yes, our stitching is very strong. We use thread that's strong enough to be used in work boots. That means our wallets can hold up to being run over by trucks, and take years of use. We also backstitch 3-5 stitches to ensure a long lasting product.

It's different for everyone. There is no "best style of wallet." A bifold wallet is the classic everyday choice, a trifold wallet works well for people who carry more cards or receipts, a card holder is best for slim front-pocket carry, and a money clip wallet is ideal if you carry fewer cards with folded cash. Often times a person will have a primary wallet that holds everything, and a secondary minimalist or clip style wallet.

Absolutely. We use custom stretchier parts of the Bison high to make our pockets. This means that you can insert 1-2 cards, wait a couple days, and insert 1-2 more. The leather will slowly stretch out giving you the perfect custom fit for the amount of cards you want to carry. This is a wallet feature you'll only get from a leathersmith that knows what they're doing! ;)
