Accessibility Updates and Ongoing Improvements

Buffalo Billfold Company is continuing to improve the accessibility and usability of our website. We recently completed a focused set of technical updates to address barriers identified during an accessibility review of our online store.

Updates completed

The latest work includes improvements to:

  • keyboard access for mobile navigation, product options, image-gallery controls, filters, tabs, and off-canvas panels;
  • keyboard focus placement, visible focus indicators, Escape-key behavior, and focus return when menus and panels open or close;
  • product variation controls, including programmatic names, selected and unavailable states, and access to the standard “Clear” option;
  • page landmarks, heading structure, skip navigation, and browser-zoom support;
  • mobile reflow at narrow screen widths, including breadcrumbs and product trust information;
  • text and control contrast in several shopping, product, cart, and checkout areas;
  • compact shopping controls and checkout targets that needed more usable touch and pointer dimensions;
  • screen-reader announcements for shipping messages, free-shipping progress, product-code changes, and other dynamic updates;
  • labels and relationships for checkout fields, cart controls, product tabs, image thumbnails, and video frames;
  • reduced-motion support for visitors who request it through their device or browser settings; and
  • redundant product-card and feature-icon descriptions, while preserving visual product hover images and normal shopping behavior.

Testing performed

We tested representative home, shop, category, product, account, cart, checkout, contact, and accessibility-statement pages. Testing included automated WCAG A/AA checks, keyboard-only navigation, focus behavior, mobile-menu and drawer interactions, product-option selection, image-gallery controls, narrow-screen reflow, cart and checkout rendering, and preservation of product-card hover images.

The latest automated pass found no WCAG A/AA violation rules in the nine representative page states tested. Automated testing has limits, however, and does not by itself establish complete conformance.

Our continuing work

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We will continue to review content, test with assistive technologies, monitor third-party theme and commerce updates, and address new issues as they are identified. Future Buffalo Billfold Company website code will be evaluated against the highest practical accessibility standard supported by our current platform, with WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA as the technical baseline.

This update is not a claim that every part of the website is barrier-free, a legal certification, or a complete conformance determination. Customers who encounter an accessibility problem or need assistance using our website can contact us at [email protected]. Please tell us which page or feature caused difficulty and what browser or assistive technology you were using, if known, so we can investigate.
