“Reseller(s),” “you,” “your”: The entity reselling Buffalo Billfold Company products.

Welcome resellers! We are excited to be working with you. To make clear our requirements for selling our product at your business we have put together this document. These requirements are in place to maintain our brand integrity and help you better sell Buffalo Billfold Company leather goods. If you do not adhere to these requirements it could result in suspension or termination of your wholesale account.

Please note that our products are offered at wholesale cost to retailers with a valid sales permit ID for the purpose of resale only. Generally, our wholesale products are priced 50% below our suggested retail price (SRP). Due to the immense savings, we have certain criteria that must be met in order to open a wholesale account:

Reseller must complete a wholesale account application, providing reseller EIN, and Sales & Use Tax ID.

Resellers must meet the standards of the Buffalo Billfold Company brand at their store and not diminish the image we promise to uphold for our wholesale family.

Accounts will be reviewed annually. We reserve the right to cancel an account if Buffalo Billfold Company’s goods are not being well maintained, stocked in suitable temperatures, displayed well, kept in good hygiene or if the account changes ownership. Duplication or adulteration of products or packaging or falsely representing products as resellers’ own is strictly prohibited. Buffalo Billfold Company does not allow our products to be sold on any type of auction site. Leather goods can only be sold at the physical location provided to Buffalo Billfold Company at the time of order, and leather goods must be sold under and by the company whose TAX ID number is on file. Leather goods cannot be sold at temporary locations not previously approved by Buffalo Billfold Company (such as art & craft festivals). Buffalo Billfold Company leather goods can not be sold at consignment shops, second hand stores, or stores that contain previously owned products (without prior approval). We reserve the right to limit or discontinue the selling of our products to parties with sales and distribution strategies not compatible with those of Buffalo Billfold Company.

 

Buffalo Billfold Company Brand

Buffalo Billfold Company works hard to maintain a strong desirable brand and requires that the reseller support that goal. To this end, we require the reseller use the approved Buffalo Billfold Company logo for any advertising without altering it. We will supply our approved logo and any other approved assets (information, documentation, photos, videos) on our wholesale information page. Any advertised products must clearly show the Buffalo Billfold Company logo that is on the product. 

Order Fulfillment

Fulfillment can take up to 4 months depending upon stock levels and current USA Bison leather supply. Therefore all wholesale clients are asked to plan accordingly and order as early as possible. If all products in your order are in stock and ready, you should receive your order within approximately 2 weeks. Please specify if you would like items to be sent as they are ready or held until the order is able to be shipped in full. Additional shipping fees may apply.

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy 

The MAP policy applies to all Buffalo Billfold Company products. Our minimum advertised price for Buffalo Billfold Company products is 90% of the Suggested Retail Price (SRP), which is a 10% discount off of SRP. Resellers may offer products on promotion at a lower advertised discount only with written permission from Buffalo Billfold Company. The MAP policy may be adjusted by Buffalo Billfold Company at its sole discretion. The MAP policy applies only to advertised prices and does not apply to the price at which the products are actually sold or offered for sale to an individual customer within the reseller’s retail location or over the phone. Buffalo Billfold Company resellers are free to sell MAP products at any price they choose. This MAP policy does not in any way limit the ability of any dealer to advertise generic phrases such as that they “have the lowest prices” or “will meet or beat any competitor’s prices,” or similar phrases so long as the price advertised or listed is not below the MAP. To protect our resellers from unfair competition and to maintain the brand’s image, Buffalo Billfold Company will regularly review all reseller commerce sites and conduct in-depth web searches to ensure consistent adherence to this policy. In cases of violation of this MAP policy, resellers will be allowed 24 hours to bring all advertising into compliance. Warnings and written notices will not be provided. Failure to comply immediately will result in discontinued shipments and possible account termination. Buffalo Billfold Company reserves the right to cancel or limit the sale of its products to parties whose sales and distribution strategies are incompatible with those of Buffalo Billfold Company.

Minimum Order Requirements

To place an order reseller must meet the minimum quantity and minimum total order requirements. This can be found when you have an account and go to our online wholesale ordering page.

Territory Limitations

The sale or distribution of Buffalo Billfold Company products outside the United States or to a third party other than an end consumer is strictly prohibited unless specifically approved in writing by Buffalo Billfold Company.

Internet Retailer Requirements

Resellers must obtain written permission from Buffalo Billfold Company to sell any of its wholesale products online. Resellers must have privacy and customer service policies, as well as overall business ethics that are compatible with those of Buffalo Billfold Company. It is crucial that the Buffalo Billfold Company remain a reputable and trusted brand.  For those resellers that Buffalo Billfold Company has granted written permission to sell its products through the internet, the following requirements must be met.

All internet resellers must have a web address of their own to sell Buffalo Billfold Company products. You may not use a subdirectory of another company’s URL, such as an Amazon.com storefront. You are expressly not allowed to resell Buffalo Billfold Company products on marketplaces such as Amazon, Etsy, and other similar marketplaces. Additionally, you cannot sell Buffalo Billfold Company products through any online auction site such as eBay. Buffalo Billfold Company products should be represented as part of a category of like products, and should make up only a portion of the offerings sold online by the web retailer. Product featured images in a website product catalog and on the product page must show the Buffalo Billfold Company logo. The logo must not be covered by any other graphics and must be clearly visible. All individual product pages featuring Buffalo Billfold Company products on the resellers website must link back to https://BuffaloBillfoldCompany.com and must say, “Made by Buffalo Billfold Company” in order to negate brand confusion between other products on the reseller’s website.

Once approved, we will send product photography free of charge for use on your website in order to maintain a consistent presentation of the brand. If we update product images, those new images will be made available to you and you are required to update those images within 2 months to maintain product presentation consistency. All Buffalo Billfold Company material, including text from our website, ads, catalog, and other written documentation, may be used only with the express written consent of Buffalo Billfold Company. The presentation of the Buffalo Billfold Company line on your site must clearly differentiate from Buffalo Billfold Company company websites and must not confuse a “reasonable consumer.” Buffalo Billfold Company will review your website prior to setting up an account and reserves the right to refuse sales at its discretion. Buffalo Billfold Company will also review your site periodically to ensure ongoing compliance with this policy.

Wholesale Returns & Restocking Fees 

We stand behind our products and want to maintain an excellent relationship with our retailers. All retail orders come with a 5 day money back guarantee. Items must be in resalable condition. Simply return the merchandise with the original invoice and a note stating your reason for return and we will refund your purchase price. Shipping & handling charges are not refundable, and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
