Our Buffalo Stones come in Agate, Desert Jasper, Fluorite, Grand Canyon Onyx, Honeycomb, Calcite, Jasper, Lithium Fluorite, Picasso Jasper, Rainbow Slate, or Rhyolite. In addition, each stone comes in a handmade full grain leather pouch that we make here at our leather shop in Worthington, MN.
Types of Stone
Our Bison Spirit Animal Gemstones come in many varieties. Materials include Agate, Desert Jasper, Fluorite, Grand Canyon Onyx, Honeycomb, Calcite, Jasper, Lithium Fluorite, Picasso Jasper, Rainbow Slate, and Rhyolite. Each gemstone has it’s own unique look. The patterns and markings on each Bison will be different than what is pictured as the natural stone varies. You choose the material and then you can state in the notes what sort of features you’d like in your stone. With your detailed request we will choose from our current inventory.
Agate
An Agate can come in many colors. Typical colors are red, white and gray with other colors depending on materials. Each animal gemstone color will vary as it’s made of genuine agate.
Desert Jasper
Desert Jasper is also known as Polychrome Jasper. It typically has reddish-orange, gray and tan tones. It is unique and unlike many other Jasper, it is a true Jasper. Your gemstone will have unique characteristics.
Flourite
Flourite is a perfect piece to add to your collection. It has tones of purple, teal and white. The name ‘Flourite’ means ‘to flow’. This hand carved gemstone will vary and have unique characteristics.
Grand Canyon Onyx
As the name implies, this Onyx comes from the deserts of the Southwest. As part of the marble family, Grand Canyon Onyx is formed as a mixture of clay, carbonates and other minerals. Onyx is said to enhance self-control and help in decision making. Your gemstone will have unique striations and colors.
Honeycomb Calcite
This bright and cheerful stone has tones of yellow, orange and white. This sunny gemstone is sure to brighten up your collection. Every stone will vary depending on the rock it was carved from.
Jasper
Jasper has tones of red and brown, with bands across the gemstone. It can also have colors such as gray and blue. Your bison gemstone will be unique.
Lithium Flourite
Lithium Flourite is a soft, lavender stone with tones of purple, pink and white. It is often opaque with some stones being more cloudy than others. Your bison gemstone will vary in color and pattern.
Picasso Jasper
This Jasper is named after the painter, Picasso. It has tones of black, grey and occasionally red. This gemstone has a very classic look suitable for any collection. Your Picasso Jasper will have its own distinct markings.
Rainbow Slate
Rainbow Slate is made from compressed sedimentary rocks. This creates unique shapes and lines throughout the gemstone. This stone can come in a variety of colors and patterns.
Rhyolite
Rhyolite is a silica-rich form of volcanic rock. Typically gray or red with banding throughout. It often has pockets of color with whites and occasionally blues. Each stone will have exclusive traits.
